The plan was reportedly based on a set of design principles that included the, “promotion of safe access for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and public transportation users of all ages and abilities.”

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Lihikai School Cafeteria in Kahului.

The meeting is hosted by the Maui County Nutrition and Physical Activity Coalition and Maui Council Member Don Guzman, in cooperation with the YMCA’s Pioneering Healthier Communities project, and the County of Maui Department of Public Works.
