BRIEF: Rice Park Restroom Closed for Septic Tank Construction

The restroom at Harold W Rice Memorial Park in Kula will be closed Dec. 16-20, 2013, for construction of a new septic system, county officials announced.

The $36,000 project is being done to bring the restroom into compliance with EPA requirements, the announcement said.

The work will reportedly be done by AJ Trucking and Excavating, with design consultation by RT Tanaka Engineers.

County officials say the park will remain open during construction.
