Through investigation, Maui police Detective Jeffrey Mahoney was able to located John O’Connor, 50, who was reported missing by family members.

Police say O’Connor was found at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the Wailuku area and was in good health. Officials with the Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating John G. O’Conner.

A missing person report was filed with the Maui police by the man’s brother on Thursday, Jan. 9, who said O’Conner had recently lost his job and place of residence.

According to police reports, the man was last seen on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014.

Police say O’Conner is known to operate a gray 2004 Honda four-door sedan with the license plate MRJ008. He also has a red 1987 Jaguar four-door sedan with the license plate LAL669. Police say neither of the vehicles have been located.

Police describe O’Conner as 6’4” tall, weighing about 275 pounds, with reddish-brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he may be wearing prescription glasses, and is known to frequent the Kīhei and Wailea areas.
