Electronic Option Offered for Real Property Assessment Notices
By Maui Now Staff
Real property owners now have the option to receive a paperless version of their upcoming 2014 real property tax assessment notice, according to an announcement made today by the Department of Finance, Real Property Assessment Division.
“This new option offers RPA customers the opportunity to view the assessment notice on their computer, phone or mobile device,” said division administrator Scott Teruya. “The paperless notices offer the convenience of email notifications while saving the County money on paper and printing costs,” he said.
To go paperless, property owners should visit the website listed on last year’s assessment notice card and enter the code that appears on the card.
After registration is completed, assessment notices will be sent via email.
The deadline to register for electronic notification is on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.
