Maui police are now accepting applications for their free DARE Summer Leadership program, and are recruiting youth volunteers to assist.

The program is open to children who have successfully completed seventh or eighth grade by May 29, 2014, and have a GPA of 2.5 or better.

The six week educational program provides activities in which children work closely with officers from the Maui Police Department.
