The body of a Kansas man was pulled from the waters at Pu’u Keka’a or Black Rock in Kāʻanapali after he was found floating face-down on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Police have since identified the man as 55-year-old Ronald Sauber of Wichita, Kansas.

The incident was reported at around 12:26 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

Police say first responders attempted life saving measures, however Sauber died at the scene.

The cause of death has not been determined pending autopsy results.

The case has been classified as a fatal miscellaneous accident.
