Congresswoman Gabbard honors the Molokaʻi students.

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard visited the Friendly Isle of Molokaʻi on Tuesday where she recognized students, visited with veterans, and talked story with business owners.

The visit included a stop at Molokaʻi Middle School, where members of the school’s robotics team were honored for their top 10 teamwork finish and top 20 overall performance at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championships held last month in California.

The school visit also included a town hall forum with the student body in which students were able to ask Gabbard about her work in Washington.

The congresswoman also visited Kaunakakai’s veterans center, which is under construction and within months of opening.

The visit wrapped up with a walk in downtown Kaunakakai to visit with businesses in the district.

Today, Rep. Gabbard will continue her week of education-focused visits by meeting with students and educators on the Island of Kauaʻi.
