No Immediate Advisories After 3.3 Hawaiʻi Island Earthquake

There were no immediate advisories issued following a preliminary magnitude 3.3 earthquake reported at 8:14 a.m. HST on Thursday, May 15, 2014, near Waikoloa Village on Hawaiʻi Island.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of 18 km, and was located: 14 miles NW of Waikoloa Village; 29 miles N of Kailua-Kona; 57 miles SSE of Kīhei on Maui; and 63 miles WNW of Hilo, on Hawaiʻi Island.
