Chocoholics unite!

And start fasting now, because this Friday, June 6, is the Maui Film Festival’s annual Taste of Chocolate event.

Held on the ocean lawn of the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea, this year’s menu is themed “Cocktail Meets Dessert.”

Find the cacao-infused food and drinks spread over eight stations:

Station 1

  • Liquid Nitrogen White Chocolate Ice Cream
  • Salted Caramel Float ( with caramel vodka and green apple puree)

Station 2

Pot de S’mores with

  • Chocolate Fudge Brownie
  • Graham Cracker Ice Cream and
  • Marshmallow fluff (assembled to order)

Station 3

  • Mini Chocolate Soufflés
  • Raspberry Sauce

Chocolate Blinis with

  • Flambeed Bananas
  • Milk Chocolate Cinnamon Foam
  • Chocolate Granola

Station 6

  • Dark Chocolate Mousse Cones
  • Ali’i Lavender and Chocolate Emulsion; Apricot Fluid Gel
  • White Chocolate Cheesecake; Lime Vodka Syrup
  • Surfing Goat Quark Truffles
  • Lemon Raspberry Crème Brulee
  • Milk Chocolate Grand Marnier Choux Puffs

  • Savory dishes (and expect a line at this one – despite the fact that the foodstuffs are currently unknown – once the sugar and spirits start to go to everyone’s head.)

Station 8

  • Guittard Chef Donald Wressel’s Surprise (we presume edible) showpieces.

In addition, Lat. 21˚ N will be providing live entertainment with world beat fusion music.

The event is held from 6 to 8 p.m. and tickets are $125.
