State Reopens Parks, Forest Areas after Tropical Storm Wali

The state reopened the Makawao and Kula forest reserves on Maui, including Polipoli Springs State Park on Monday following inclement conditions associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Wali.

Also on Maui, ʻĪao Valley State park reopened at noon on Monday after storm-related debris was cleared.

Debris removal was still being conducted at Waiʻānapanapa State Park in East Maui at last report.
