BRIEF: 2nd Friday Cancelled in Lahaina Due to Iselle

The Second Friday in Lahaina Town Party that had been scheduled for Friday, Aug. 8, has since been cancelled due to the anticipated effects of Hurricane Iselle, which is expected to impact Maui County as a tropical storm beginning on Thursday.

The Lahaina Town Action Committee announced the cancellation saying the activities that were planned at Campbell Park, the Summer Block Party from Pāpalualua Street to Lahainaluna Road, and the 2015 Lahaina poster contest reception at the Old Jail gallery in the Old Lahaina Courthouse, will not take place on Friday as originally planned.

The poster reception only has been rescheduled for next Friday, Aug. 15 , 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Old Jail Gallery.

The next Lahaina second Friday event will be held next month on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014.
