Flash-Flood Watch Begins Thursday

The National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch for the state of Hawai’i, in effect from Thursday, 4 a.m. to Friday, Saturday 6 a.m. (flash-flood watch has been extended).

The NWS warns that it does not have to be raining heavily where you are for flash flooding to occur.

Emergency officials advise the public to monitor the latest forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action if flash-flood warnings are issued.

EFFECTS: Deep tropical moisture and heavy rains associated with Iselle will reach the Big Island Thursday and the rest of the state Thursday night and Friday.
