Maui Calls 2014, rescheduled to Sept. 27.

By Maui Now Staff

The Maui Calls annual gala fundraiser for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, which had been postponed from August 8 due to hurricane and tropical storm Iselle, has since been rescheduled to take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 starting at 6 p.m.

Organizers say the benefit will feature all of the festivities as previously planned for the Maui Calls 2014 event.

The theme of the 2014 event, “Celebrating the Songs of Hawai’i” includes a concert with a (traditionally) surprise musical guest.

Throughout the evening, guests are invited to eat their fill of gourmet pupu and dessert creations offered by nearly 20 fine chefs and restaurants from around the island, and sample fine wines from a dozen or more vintners and boutique wineries from California, Washington and Oregon.

Maui Calls also features a silent auction with selections that include “Uniquely Maui” items available only at The MACC, and only at Maui Calls.

A live auction will be conducted – also a Maui Calls tradition – that will include an African Safari and a stay in an over-water villa in Bora Bora.

The event coincides with the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s 20th year Anniversary celebration.

Existing tickets and table reservations have been automatically transferred to the September 27 date.
