Manpower Shortage Results in Missed Haʻikū Trash Route

A manpower shortage resulted in a missed trash route affecting residents in the Haʻikū service area today (Friday, Aug. 22, 2014).

The County of Maui Solid Waste Division announced the missed route saying they expected to pickup trash on the missed route on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014.

Areas affected include: Haʻikū Road, North Holokai Road, Kauhikoa Road, Kaupakalua Road, East and West Kuiaha Road, Peʻahi Road, Ulumalu Road, and all surrounding side streets.

Department officials apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation.
