Maui police responded to 26 burglaries, 10 vehicle thefts, and 20 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period, between Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, 2014.

Of the 10 vehicle thefts, two vehicles have since been recovered.  The most vehicle theft reports for the week were in Kahului, where four incidents were reported.  Vehicle thefts were down from the 13 incidents reported a week earlier.

Burglary incidents were up with 26 burglaries reported over the week, up from 20 the week before.  The greatest number of incidents were reported in the Kula area where five incidents were reported, followed by Kahului and Wailuku, which had four incidents each.

Vehicle break-ins were down to 20 from 24 reported the week before.  Six of the incidents were in Kīhei, three of them at Keonekai Villages.
