What is ELATION and who is artCORE?  artCORE is a Maui based high level art and event production company that hosts some of Maui’s largest parties.  Those behind the scenes of the production include Trevor Arnholt, Gabriel Mott, Bennett Yashon, Cudra Clover and Toben Lindell.

The artCORE company recently hosted ELATION, a huge Interactive and Multimedia Art Festival held this past Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapū.

Sticking to their credo “Party with a Purpose,” artCORE will donate a portion of the proceeds from the event to The Wisdom Center For Autism in Haʻikū.   The non-profit group will also benefit from proceeds of the next artCORE festival, SHIFT, a futuristic world’s fair-themed celebration of the arts, planned for April 25, 2015, also at the Maui Tropical Plantation.

The ELATION event showcased art installations such as Joe’s “Touchless Elation Station” which used Leap Motion Technology that is a sensor system faster than most video games, to give people an effortless virtual interaction. The Leap Motion Sensor is also used for children with Autism in different learning activities.

Another art installment that was irresistible to event goers of all ages was the inflatable art “Bubble” that was created by Lindell, one of the artCORE members. Lindell created a bubble environment featuring inflatable couches and balloons with enough space to dance while controlling the visual ambiance of the entire room.

Through all the electricity there was a serene LED flower garden that became a beautiful resting spot for the tired dancers.

The paper cones surrounding a small but bright blue light created a whistling in the wind effect throughout the fields of the Maui Tropical Plantation.

The garden was created by Jerry Isdile and Loraine Lipps, a federally funded duo who have been to festivals like Burning Man to showcase their art and innovations, some that have been created in cooperation with NASA.

ELATION was the second fundraiser thrown by artCORE, with ‘Rev’ being the first.  (Rev, Elation, see what they did there?)

Each event has equally been an amazing showcase of talent right here in our own backyard.
