Repair of Hydrant Lateral on South Kīhei Road

Motorists traveling in South Maui today are advised of hydrant repair work taking place on South Kīhei Road fronting the Maui Sunset.
The Maui Department of Water Supply announced that it will be working to repair a hydrant lateral located at 1039 South Kīhei Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.
The water supply to the public will not be affected; however, one lane of South Kīhei Road will be blocked off during the project.
Water officials say traffic flow should not be disrupted; however, motorists are advised to drive slowly in the area or to avoid the area if possible.
