Rash of Burglaries Start the New Year

The Maui Police Department reported today that there have been several burglaries and thefts involving ATMs and other stolen property. These crimes have occurred at various businesses at Maui Mall, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Waiehu Golf Course, and the Mā‘alaea Harbor Shops.

Several incidents have involved the use of stolen vehicles.

The total amount of financial loss from these crimes remains under investigation.

Police continue to track down all leads and information and ask for the public’s assistance in reporting all suspicious activities.

No one has been arrested in relation to these crimes and the possibility of any of these crimes being connected remains under investigation.
