Maui County Managing Director Keith Regan is inviting all past honorees of The Maui News’ annual “People Who Made A Difference” to the Mayor’s Lounge on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 4 p.m. During the brief meeting, the group will brainstorm ideas for a project “to make Maui County a better place to live.”

Regan was honored by The Maui News in 2011 for spearheading The Aloha Initiative, which provided a warm and welcome home for citizens of Japan who were displaced by the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis.

“Reading the article about last year’s honorees and seeing the entire list of all of the past years’ honorees in The Maui News last month inspired me to invite all of the past honorees who have each made a tremendous difference so we can possibly collectively make an even bigger difference for our community for which we are blessed to be a part of,” said Regan.
