MEO to Hold ‘Dancing with Our Stars’ Competition and Fundraiser

Maui Economic Opportunity, a local organization working to eliminate poverty in Maui County, is celebrating its 50th anniversary of community advocacy and service with a “Dancing with Our Stars” fundraiser on Saturday, Mar. 21, 2015, at the King Kamehameha Golf Clubhouse. The fun-filled competition kicks off at 6 p.m. and will feature local celebrity contestants and judges.

Dancers will include Mayor Alan Arakawa, Teryl Vincel, Sharon Zalsos, Councilmember Don Guzman and Rick Volner, dancing with a partner of their choice. Kellie-Pali Cruz, Tony Takitani, and Kathy Collins will serve as judges for the competition.

Individual tickets for the benefit cost $150 and should be purchased early as seating is limited. Donations are payable to Maui Economic Opportunity Inc., and can be mailed to 99 Mahalani St., Kahului, HI 96793 (“Attention: Dancing with Our Stars”). Tables are available for party reservations.
