Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for setting a home on fire in Makawao Ranch Acres.

The incident was reported at around 6:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014

Police say the occupants of the home reported that an unknown individual or individuals used an accelerant to set fire to their home.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the suspect or suspects is asked to contact Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966, or toll free from the Neighbor Islands at (888) 242-6966.


Maui Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals in unsolved felony crimes.


The public should consider all wanted persons as dangerous and should not approach, follow or take other action that could put themselves in danger.
