Oregon Visitor Dies, Pulled from South Maui Waters

A 79-year-old male visitor from Eugene, Oregon died in an ocean incident off of South Maui on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015.
The man, later identified as Donald Bick, was snorkeling at Ulua Beach when he was found floating face down and lifeless about 50-yards offshore, police said.
The incident was reported at around 10:30 a.m.
According to police reports, Bick was brought to shore where cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated by bystanders, before emergency personal arrived on scene.

Despite all life-saving measures, Bick died, according to police.

The cause of death is pending autopsy results.
