More than 300 student athletes, representing 12 schools from Kapalua to Kula, earned 270 medals Saturday in the 90th Annual Kiwanis Track and Field Meet.

Girls and boys between grades 6-8 competed in their respective age divisions in four field events, four running events and the 400-meter relay.

“We take much pride in sustaining the 90-year tradition of this event,” said Kiwanis’ Meet Director Bob Pellettieri. “The meet has been growing in attendance and popularity over the years and we continue to strive towards excellence for the benefit of the children of Maui.”

There were plenty of outstanding times and distances Saturday, March 14, but no meet records were broken at the Satoki Yamamoto Track & Field Facility.
