Maui Summer PALS Registration Dates Announced

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation announced registration dates for the 2015 Summer Play and Learn Sessions, also known as the PALS program.
Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration for the West Maui and Kihei sites were held earlier this month.
The next registration will take place on Wednesday, April 8, at the Hannibal Tavares Community Center for the Upcountry PALS sites between 3 and 7 p.m. The Upcountry PALS programs operates out of the Haʻikū Community Center, Pāʻia School, Eddie Tam Hall, Pukalani School and Kula School.
Those in the Central District can register at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center this Thursday, April 9, from 3 to 7 p.m. The Central Maui PALS program operates out of Waiheʻe School, Lihikai School, Kahului Community Center Annex and Pōmaikaʻi School.
Final registration for the Central District, if available space remains, will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center in Wailuku.
Interested participants on Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi are invited to register on the first two days of the program, on June 9 and 10, 2015.
The program is open to children between 5 and 12 years-old, with the summer session to be held June 9th to July 21st. The mission of PALS is to provide a safe and nurturing program for the children of Maui County that addresses their physical, social, cultural and educational needs.
The program features cultural activities, including music, dance, arts and crafts, language, ethnic customs, folklore and food. Fundamental skills include team sports, fun skill drills and non-competitive sports and games.
