The County of Maui Department of Finance will hold a real property tax sale on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 and will continue the sale on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, (if necessary) at the Kīhei Community Center.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.; the auction will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The sale is an auction of properties that have been delinquent for three or more years and have received final notice of tax sale.

As of May 12, 2015, seven properties are scheduled to be sold at the tax sale. Properties may still be removed from the tax sale list if all taxes, penalties, interest and costs have been paid in full prior to Wednesday.

Information about the tax sale, including a list of the properties being sold and frequently asked questions, can be found on the County of Maui website (select “Delinquent Tax Accounts” in left-hand column).

The list has also been posted at the Real Property Tax Collections office at the Maui Mall Service Center, Ste. A-18; at Kalana O Maui (County Building); Hoapili Hale (Judiciary Building); the Molokaʻi Real Property Tax Office; and the Lānaʻi Senior Center.

The Kīhei Community Center is located at 303 E. Līpoa Street in Kīhei.

For more information, call the Real Property Tax Collections office at 270-7697.
