Enoki and Jensen Honored with 2015 Maui Older American Awards

Maui’s Katsuko Enoki and Donald Jensen were selected at the 2015 Outstanding Older American Award winners at the 47th Annual Maui County Outstanding Older American Awards Luncheon held on Friday, May 15 at the Maui Beach Hotel in Kahului.

Enoki, who received the women’s award is a retired public health nurse; and Jensen who received the men’s award, is a part of the Maui Police Auxiliary’s Citizen’s Patrol.

Jensen, 81, has been an active member of the Maui Police Department Police Auxiliary Citizen’s Patrol since 1996, according to information released by the Maui Police Department.

The department credited Jensen with his work over the past 20 years in “proactively deterring criminal behavior throughout Kīhei by conducting vehicle and foot patrols and reporting the information accordingly.”

Other nominees included on the list this year were:  Donna Bishaw, Kathleen Phillips, John Tryggestad and Joan Opitz.
