Friends of Children’s Justice Center Seeks Summer Volunteers
The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center has launched its Summer Volunteer Drive.
The goal of the drive is to register 101 volunteers to assist in the group’s efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect in Maui County.
Each year, the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center participates in community events and activities designed to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Paul Tonnessen expects the drive to add to the organization’s prevention efforts and increase the organization’s effectiveness throughout the year.
“Without the countless community and business volunteers, we would not be able to fulfill our vision of ‘Every child in Maui County free from abuse and neglect’,” Tonnessen said.
Residents and visitors are welcome to sign up online.
Descriptions of each volunteer opportunity are listed.
As the event of your choice approaches, the organization will reach out to you for your volunteering service.
The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui (FCJC), now in its 25th year, is a private, nonprofit corporation, founded in 1989 by a non-partisan group of community and business leaders concerned with the social welfare of children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and severe neglect.
