Maui Dry Dock and Storage LLC is seeking a Conservation District Use Permit from the state to operate a dry-dock, secured boat parking and storage area along Kahului Beach Road near the harbor.

The business would include two concrete pads, two grassy swales, and an attendant subsurface drainage system, according to a Final Environmental Assessment filed for the project.

The facility would be protected by a vinyl coated chain link fence along the perimeter, and key card access.

No price or rental period has been determined. The applicant states that the rate would be determined in consultation with the state Harbor’s division.

Maui Dry Dock and Storage will also pursue a lease with the state should they secure a permit for the site.
