Wondering what to do this weekend? Maui Now staff has compiled a chronological listing of some of the island’s best events scheduled from Thursday through Sunday, June 25 through 28. Look for this information no later than every Thursday afternoon.

Some of Maui’s most talented hālau will continue to perform weekly at Lahaina Cannery Mall throughout June. The free cultural entertainment takes place center stage at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 1 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.



Boursier-Mougenot Exhibit Opens at Schaefer Gallery
The MACC • Schaefer International Gallery • Through July 18
A sound installation by French artist and composer Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is on exhibit. Boursier-Mougenot creates intriguing works that explore the potential of common objects as a means to compose music in a given space. Schaefer International Gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and before Castle Theater shows and during intermissions.

Hui No‘eau will present the center’s Heart of the Hui: A Student & Faculty Exhibition celebrating and honoring the importance of art education at the hui with a space that encourages learning, creativity and experimentation.

Pāʻia Rock & Brews • Pāʻia • Sunday–Thursday nights • Through July 16.
Rock & Brews Pāʻia is kicking off the summer with a late night happy hour and a Summer Concert Series showcasing some of the greatest festivals and events in rock music history.

Admission is free to the 24th annual Ki Ho‘alu Festival, one of Maui’s favorite family events. Some of Hawai‘i’s best slack key guitar players will perform a full afternoon of melodious Hawaiian music.
