Skydivers to Help Westin Kā‘anapali Celebrate Fourth of July
By Maui Now Staff
The sky’s the limit for owner and guest experiences at The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas. As part of the AAA Four Diamond resort’s Red, White and Blue Festival on the Fourth of July, it will debut a patriotic-themed Spectacular Skydiving Performance (weather permitting) above its property.
The Red, White & Blue Festival offered exclusively to the resort’s owners and guests, will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015, from noon to 4 p.m. The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas will be the only resort on Maui to offer a show of this kind.
“We are always looking for unique, new ways to enhance our owners’ and guests’ experiences,” said Angela Nolan, general manager of The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas. “Many of our owners and guests stay with us each year and have become a part of our ‘ohana. We want each stay to be truly memorable for them.”
In addition to its first-ever Spectacular Skydiving Performance, the celebration will be hosted by DJ Mackie Mac and feature a carnival tent with games and activities.
The event will also offer shave ice, cotton candy, turkey legs and hot dogs.
The even will include a silent auction, a flag football challenge, duck race, watermelon eating contest and Kolor Obstacle Run, where guests can be splashed with color as they run through an obstacle course.
Owners and guests will also enjoy the resort’s annual helicopter flower drop, when 80,000 flowers will be showered from the sky.
“We are delighted to add the Spectacular Skydiving Performance to our line-up of Fourth of July activities,” said Sarah Hisey, the resort’s director of guest activities. “At The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas, we strive to create the most unforgettable experiences for our owners and guests and we believe this year’s Fourth of July skydiving show will be just that.”
The Red, White and Blue Festival at The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas is one of several signature experiences designed exclusively for its owners and guests. Among other activities throughout the year, the resort also hosts its annual Earth Hour celebration, which honors its commitment to the environment, as well as its annual Easter Egg Scramble and petting zoo.
