Next Saturday, July 25, Caymus Vineyards is once celebrated at Makena Beach & Golf Resort’s monthly wine dinner.

Returning for the third consecutive year, the Caymus Vineyards wine dinner will feature brands and bottles from the Wagner Family Wine portfolio including Conundrum, Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc, Belle Glos Pinot Noir, Emmolo Merlot, and Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon.

To pair with the Napa Valley wines, the resort’s Chef De Cuisine Kurt Lesmerises is preparing a six-course summer-inspired menu featuring such entrees as:

  • Ahi Tartare – Cucumber, cilantro broth with Serrano and quail egg yolk
  • Kauai Shrimp and Grits – Volcano spiced prawns, cured ham with collard greens and cheddar grit
  • Duck and Summer Berries – Sous vide of moulard breast “Margret” with foie gras mousse nasturtium, pistachio, berries and duck demi-glace
  • Duo of Venison and Rabbit – Oven-roasted French rack of rabbit with Cabernet demi-glace paired with venison summer sausage in mustard cream
