Maui Crime Log Aug. 2–8: Burglaries, Break-Ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 13 burglaries, 39 vehicle break-ins and 13 vehicle thefts in Maui County over the seven-day period between Sunday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015.

The number of burglaries is 15 less than reported the previous week.

The number of vehicle break-ins this week is three more than the previous week.

The number of vehicle thefts is the same as reported last week.

The complete list of locations affected and times in which the incidents occurred are as follows:

• Monday, Aug. 3, 8:58 a.m.: Amala Place, Kahului, Hale Nanea. Burglary non-residential, forced entry.
• Monday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m.: South Kīhei Road, Kīhei, Kīhei Marketplace. Burglary non-residential, attempted burglary.
• Monday, Aug. 3, 10:39 a.m.: Kuhua Street, Lahaina. Burglary residential, unlawful entry.
