Travaasa Experiential Resorts has promoted Marni Aina to assistant general manager at Travaasa Hāna in East Maui. In her new position, Aina will oversee daily hotel operations with General Manager David MacIlwraith.

Aina previously served as hospitality manager the resort, where she helped oversee the hospitality, housekeeping, front desk, bell staff, transportation and security departments since 2012.

She has also held management positions at The Spa at Travaasa Hāna, serving as spa manager and spa concierge. Her history with the resort began in 2006, when she joined the then Hotel Hāna-Maui as a massage therapist.

Born and raised on Maui, she attended St. Anthony High School and University of Hawai‘i Maui College. Aina enjoys the family-friendly nature of Hāna, where she is often spotted participating in and volunteering at her children’s club and sporting events.

Travaasa Hāna is located at the end of the famous Road to Hāna. The original property opened in 1946 and became a favorite retreat for generations of travelers seeking barefoot elegance, unspoiled natural beauty and a Hawaiian sense of place.

Travaasa Experiential Resorts’ philosophy is to provide an escape for those looking to experience something new, enrich their lives and immerse themselves in local traditions, which pays tribute to the hotel’s original intention.
