A Flash Flood Watch is posted from Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon for all islands in Maui County. Saturated soils from recent rains are expected to increase the risk for flash flooding. Conditions will be favorable for heavy rainfall.

North: Spots that are pulling in the tropical swell are expected to be knee/waist high today and fading through the day. Most spots will be flat all day.
West: Wave heights waist/chest high are expected with an easing trend through the day. Spots shadowed by other islands will be smaller.
South: The south-southwest is expected to bring waist/chest high waves today with a slow fading trend through the day.
Jimena swell is expected to drop out completely on Thursday with just minimal leftovers by end of day.
Our current long-period swell from the south-southwest is gradually fading through the rest of the week. A storm in the South Pacific is expected to send us another round of fun south-southwest swell starting Sunday.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
