Island Gourmet Markets has opened its doors, as part of The Shops at Wailea. The newly built stand-alone shop is touted as a lifestyle market for residents and visitors alike. It’s located near the East Wing stores, and will be open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Island Gourmet Markets are affiliates of ABC Stores. This is the second one built in our state, following the Island Gourmet Markets in Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. The Maui location joins more than 70 businesses at The Shops at Wailea.
“This will be a great addition to the center, the Wailea community and Maui,” says General Manager Brian Yano.
Island Gourmet Markets’ mission is to provide the finest shopping experience in a clean, friendly and comfortable environment. Shoppers will find Hawaiian gifts and treasures, an espresso bar serving fresh fruit smoothies, Pāʻia Gelato and gourmet pastries from Sugar Bake Shop. There is also premium seafood, fresh Ahi, Marlin, Atlantic Salmon, more than 10 types of poke, crab, lobster tails, high-grade meats cut to order. Grab-and-go offerings include fresh sushi, bentos and Island Kitchen grill options like hot entrees, custom sandwiches and salads.
There will also be gourmet items from Hawaiʻi and around the world. Food connoisseurs can indulge in a range of deli selections, gourmet cheeses, premium wines and spirits, craft beer and Kona coffee.
The lifestyle market aims to be not only customer-friendly, but earth-friendly as well.
“Our new market will promote environmental compatibility with use of the energy-saving, highly efficient photovoltaic systems,” said Paul Kosasa, ABC Stores President and CEO.
Island Gourmet Markets invites you to stop by and welcome them with a warm Aloha.
