In celebration of Mental Illness Awareness Week, Oct. 4 though 10, Kuleana Connections 2015 members invites the community to join them in a sign waving event on Mental Health Day, Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in front of Macy’s on Ka‘ahumanu Avenue in Kahului.

Participants are invited to bring a sign to increase awareness and enthusiasm regarding mental health.

“Let’s show that recovery is possible!” said Ho‘omoana Foundation Executive Director Lisa Darcy. “Meet like-minded colleagues, connect with mental health supporters and sign petitions for better mental health care on Maui.”
