Makawao Teen Arrested in Connection with Theft at Lahainaluna

A 17-year-old juvenile male, from Makawao was arrested in connection with a second degree theft investigation at Lahainaluna High School.

According to police reports, four juvenile males from the Varsity King Kekaulike High School football team were also identified as being involved in the theft.

The arrest stems from a report on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at around 4 p.m. on the Lahainaluna High School campus.

Maui police say they were able to address the incident with the cooperation of staff from King Kekaulike High School and members of the Maui community.

Police say most of the items taken during the incident have since been recovered, but did not specify what was stolen.

Members of the Maui Police Department and the Juvenile Crime Prevention Division assisted in the investigation.
