Monkeypod Art Studio: Keiki Art, Music, Yoga and Fun!

Monkeypod Art Studio opened this past May in the Wailuku industrial area. They offer a wide array of activities for keiki and childcare resources for families. In addition to the programs outlined below, the studio also accommodates play and school groups, birthday parties and even adult art parties. Frequent visitors can also check out their discount pass rates. More information below on their upcoming “Fall Into Fun” Camp, “Art & Grow Program” and drop-off options. This month, Tuesdays are Gummy Bear day!

 

“Fall Into Fun” Camp:

Monkeypod’s fall camp runs from October 5-13, 2015 for children ages 5 to 8 years old. Full Day camp is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Half Day camp is 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Drop-off time begins at 8:30 a.m. They are offering a 10% discount for campers who attended the 2015 Summer Camp! Siblings are enrolled for 50% off of full price camp as well. During this camp, the children will create works of art inspired by the masters (Van Gogh, Matisse, Kandinsky, etc.). They will also have the opportunity to explore Monkeypod Art Studio and participate in all scheduled activities, including yoga and drum circle.

Art & Grow Program:

Monkeypod Art Studio offers an “Art and Grow Program” which is designed to give children ages 3 through 5 an opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, music, yoga and enhance socialization skills. Parents are welcome to stay at the studio or drop their child(ren) off and children do not need to be potty-trained.

Rate: $72 a week for 3 hours/day, 2 times/week (either Mon/Wed OR Tue/Thu).

Hours: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

On-Going Keiki Activites (Free with Admission):

Monkeypod Art Studio puts an emphasis on art, music, movement and story time. Each week there are regularly scheduled actives. “Keiki Yoga” and “Sing-a-long” are scheduled for Monday and Saturday mornings. They have “Story Time” every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. “Messy Art” and “3D Art” are activities are set up on Monday, Thursday and Friday. There is even “Drum Circle”, “Parachute Time” and a session called “Music, Music, Music.” Click HERE for details on Monkeypod Studio’s on-going activities.

 

The Monkey Business Drop Off Program:

This program is for children 2 years and older so that parents can take care of their “Monkey business” – doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc…

Rate: $15 per hour for the first child, $3 for each additional child

Hours: Available for max of 6 hours/week per child, Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
