An annual Maui candlelight vigil in remembrance of those killed by domestic violence, will be held this Thursday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. on the front lawn of the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College campus.

The vigil is part of activities recognizing October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

“By coming together and remembering those who have lost their lives to domestic violence we are saying that their lives matter, that we are committed as a community to saying no to violence, and that we are here to support any adult, teen, and child in an abusive relationship,” said vigil coordinator Mahina Martin.
