share the love subaru 2015Subaru Hawai‘i will donate $250 to six local nonprofits, including Maui’s Hawai‘i Wildlife Fund, Maui Humane Society and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui for each new 2015 or 2016 Subaru vehicle sold (up to $30,000).

Subaru Hawai‘i’s fifth year of community-based “Share the Love” sales campaign will be held now through Dec. 31, 2015.

“We are so delighted to be a part of Subaru Hawai‘i’s Share the Love Campaign,” said Hannah Bernard, executive director/co-founder of Hawai‘i Wildlife Fund. “As recipients in the past, we were able to use the generous donations from this campaign to assist in protecting hundreds of endangered hawksbill hatchlings and clean up tons ofmarine debris from Hawai‘i’s beaches. We depend on responsible companies like Subaru Hawai‘i that really do give back to the environment and the community to help us protect Hawaii Nei’s marine life.”

In addition, the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite participating nonprofit organization at Subaru Hawai‘i’s online voting contest. At the end of the campaign, Subaru Hawai‘i will award the organization with the most “votes” an extra $5,000.

“We treasure being a part of Subaru Hawai‘i’s Share the Love program—it gives our significant social media following the opportunity to voice their support for our organization in a way that ultimately translates into resources we can use to save even more lives,” said Jennifer McGurn, director of Development and Community Outreach for the Maui Humane Society. “We are so grateful to Subaru Hawai‘i for empowering our supporters and enabling the work we do.”

Subaru Hawai‘i’s “Share the Love” campaign has donated more than $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations in the past five years.

“We are delighted to have such strong community partners join us in this year’s Subaru Hawai‘i ‘Share the Love’ sales campaign,” said Glenn Inouye, senior vice president of Servco, representing the Subaru Hawai‘i Dealers. “In addition to again partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai‘i, we’re also excited to again support Hawai‘i’s natural wildlife and companion animal nonprofits, both areas of interest to many of our Subaru owners. We are proud to extend our partnership to all islands where we have dealerships, including O‘ahu, Maui, Big Island and Kaua‘i.”
