Montage Residences Kapalua Bay, the luxury resort brand’s enclave of spacious, oceanfront homes, closed a total of $88 million in contracts and under-contract activity since hitting the market in July of 2014.

To date, the luxury resort community has sold 16 residences, with only a limited number still remaining, while continuing to build momentum and attract discerning homebuyers.

“We are thrilled to see this response from buyers, considering the extensive vacation home opportunities on Maui,” said Lisa Hatem, director of sales. “Our goal was to create a new residential offering complemented by unique personalized experiences and the service standards of Montage Hotels & Resorts. From miles and miles of hiking trails to an array of ocean activities, homeowners have full access to the best of Kapalua Bay’s adventures and landscape, along with the distinctive benefits of living the Montage lifestyle.”

Kapalua Bay offers snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, swimming, hiking and two golf courses in the area—all just steps away from Montage Kapalua Bay and its collection of branded residences.

Homeowners also have convenient access to an on-site concierge team that creates customized excursions for residents, their families and guests.

Young residents ages 5 to 12 are invited to participate in Paintbox, the resort’s activities-based children’s program. Programming consists of Hawaiian themed activities such as hula dancing and lei making, outdoor excursions, arts-and-crafts, dive-in movie nights and more.

The M-Teens program caters to teens 12 to 17, with hikes to Namalu Bay for swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding.

The award-winning Spa Montage is also conveniently located just a short stroll away from the oceanfront residences, offering massage and body therapies, facial treatments, salon services, a fitness center and more.

Owners also experience the distinct Montage lifestyle through a collection of luxurious amenities, personalized service and authentic island cuisine.

Recently welcoming Executive Chef David Viviano, Montage Kapalua Bay offers five dining venues helmed by the new chef, including Cane & Canoe for signature fine dining; Sunset Patio and Hana Hou Bar for relaxed dining and drinks served poolside; Mahana Market, a general store for everyday shopping; Cliff House, the waterfront private event venue; and Beach Club, serving casual Hawaiian fare and drinks. Chef Viviano also oversees In-Residence Dining, offered 24 hours a day, as well as personal chef services.

The Montage philosophy celebrates personalized services for residents with special experiences on-island or within their residence. From surprise baked goods and a private photography session for a child’s birthday to a rare expedition into private bird-watching preserves gated off to the public, Residential Manager Shannon Berkowitz and her team go to extraordinary lengths to know and accommodate each owner.

“We truly get to know our owners without being intrusive,” said Berkowitz. “We focus on delivering highly personalized service with humility and grace, and create lifelong memories for our owners.”
