Island Air Offers Veterans Day Discount to Service Members

Island Air will salute active and retired military members with a special 50% discount off base fares on interisland flights* from Dec. 1 to 17, 2015, and Jan. 6 to March 15, 2016.

Join Island Air and Star 101.9 at Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii on Wed., Nov. 11 for military service appreciation day, when military personnel will receive special admission to the water park and the opportunity to purchase discounted Island Air tickets on-site.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii is located at 400 Farrington Highway in Kapolei. The discount offer is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition, eligible military personnel may also visit the Island Air ticket counters at Kahului Airport, Lāna‘i Airport and Honolulu International Airport to purchase discounted tickets.

The Honolulu International Airport discount offer is available between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. The Kahului Airport discount offer is available from 6:45 a.m. to 8:05 p.m. The Lāna‘i Airport discount offer is available between 9:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.

The Veterans Day discount offer is only available at Island Air and Wet ‘n’ Wild. The discount will not be available online or through phone reservations. Purchasers must show valid military ID or proof of service.

* Discount is off published base fare only, and does not apply to government-imposed taxes/fees, including federal excise tax of 7.5% of the base fare, a federal segment fee of $4.00 per segment (consisting of one takeoff and one landing), and a September 11th Security of $5.60 per one-way trip. Airline-imposed charges for optional services, including checked bag fees of $15 for the first checked bag and $25 for the second checked bag, apply.
