Maui Memorial to Host Diabetes Day Nov. 18

Maui Memorial Medical Center will host Diabetes Day in recognition of American Diabetes month on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the MMMC Auditorium from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Nearly 30 million Americans live with diabetes and 86 million Americans have pre-diabetes.

Physicians and presenters providing information on reducing the risk factors for complications of diabetes include:

  • Dr. Steven King, Podiatrist
  • Dr. Eric Nordsieck, Cardiologist
  • Dr. Michael Leong, Optometrist
  • Jessica Reys, Physician Assistant
  • Donald Halsey, MMMC Stroke Coordinator
