Holidays Arrive at Lahaina Cannery Mall with Santa, Angel Tree, Music

The Lahaina Cannery Mall welcomes the arrival of Santa on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 as the holiday shopping season gets underway.

The shopping center will also feature its Kahiau Angel Tree giving project donation drive in partnership with the Salvation Army Lahaina Outpost.

Volunteers will collect donations, gift cards and unwrapped gifts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with live music and entertainment throughout the day.  All donations will aid Maui’s less fortunate children during the holiday season.

Live holiday entertainment continues each week in December with free performances from Hawaiʻi musicians, hālau, church and school groups.

Lahaina Cannery Mall will get into the holiday spirit again this year by giving away two tickets to Las Vegas as part of the center’s annual “Very Vegas Christmas” holiday giveaway.  A winner will be drawn at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at the center stage area. The center is decorated this year with holiday trees featuring hand-made ornaments by Maui schools and community groups as part of the annual “Festival of Trees” decoration contest.

Lahaina Cannery Mall is Maui’s only fully enclosed, air-conditioned shopping complex. It is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (7 p.m. Sundays).  The center features more than 50 shops and restaurants and is located on the north end of Lahaina Town fronting Honoapiʻilani Highway and Front Street.
