7 Week Project Underway on Old Haleakalā Highway Near Airport

Starting on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, crews with Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company began work on a section of the Old Haleakalā Highway near the Kahului Airport.

The project is expected to take seven weeks to complete and has resulted in the closure of the Old Haleakalā Highway between Kuleana Street to approximately 400 feet southeast of the Cargo Road.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, use caution in the area and follow all traffic control signs, devices and flag persons while driving near the work zone.
