North: Wave heights are expected to be head high to a few feet overhead for spots catching the north-northwest swell. The best breaks could be double overhead on the sets.
West: The best breaks catching the northwest wrap could get waist/chest high waves, maybe even head high on the sets.
South: Wave heights around knee high today.
Our current north-northwest and is expected to slowly trend down in size. An even larger northwest swell is expected to build this weekend, filling in Saturday evening and peaking early Sunday morning.
Our current south-southwest is mainly leftovers today.
Trade swell continues but it’s bumpy and sloppy for most spots.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
