Construction Closes Wailuku Park For Several Days

Wailuku Elementary School Park will be closed to the public for repairs on Dec. 18, and then again from Dec. 21 to Dec. 23, county officials announced.
Officials say that in between construction, the park will reopen over the weekend.
Work consists of removing surfacing at the toddler playground and the concrete pad underneath at the site where the old playground was located.

Because of the heavy equipment involved, the entire park along with the parking lot will be closed while the area is under construction.
The Department of Parks and Recreation thanked the public in advance for their patience.
