MBB Think Tank to Head Upcountry in January
Maui Business Brainstormers will hold its first Upcountry Business in the Think Tank on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Lumeria Maui in Makawao.
MBB is a non-profit volunteer-based business-to-business support group.
MBB’s Think Tank events will take place monthly across the Upcountry district in locations that can offer an indoor meeting facility with chairs, tables and white board.
In four years of BiTT, many members have expressed their desire to attend the BiTT meetings which have taken place in West and Central Maui; however, for many members located Upcountry, logistics and business hours were limiting their opportunity to seek and share ideas on ways to reach success in business.
“So, going where those members are is a way to show MBB’s support,” said MBB voluntary organizer Lori Fisher. “We appreciate very much Lumeria Maui’s stepping up for MBB’s Upcountry initiative.”
“Community presence and activation is paramount at Lumeria,” said Douglas Drummond, Lumeria Maui’s general manager. “We have been honored to have had several opportunities to be of service to the community on Maui. Whether hosting fundraising events, well-being activities for youth or playing host for local business meetings, a primary mission at Lumeria is to create educational opportunities for both visiting guests and local community alike.”
MBB also plans to expand to North and East Maui in 2016.
“We are just walking our talk; MBB is focused on helping all of Maui’s businesses,” said Fisher.
Since 2012, MBB has hosted 47 BiTT meetings in Central Maui and 14 in West Maui. In addition to the BiTT monthly meetings, MBB has created and hosted more than 50 educational special events featuring top-notch speakers and experts, and expects even more in 2016 for local entrepreneurs and those on the path of becoming their own boss.
“Business in the Think Tank” is free and hosted monthly in various locations on Maui.
