TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Honoapiʻilani at Olowalu, Accident

UPDATE: 2:36 p.m. 12/23/15, The Honoapiʻilani Highway is now completely OPEN.  It was partially closed to alternating traffic earlier this afternoon following a motor vehicle accident in Olowalu near Mile 15.  Motorists are advised to drive with caution and expect a backup as traffic resumes its normal flow.

Motorists traveling to or from Lahaina are advised of a motor vehicle accident in Olowalu near Mile 15 of the Honoapiʻilani Highway.

The incident was reported at around 12:50 p.m.  As of 1:53 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, police were alternating traffic.  As of 2:12 p.m., tow trucks were on scene to remove the vehicles involved.

Motorists can expect delays and are advised to drive with caution in the area.
