‘Restaurant Week Wailea’ Donates to Food Bank
The Maui Food Bank has received thousands of dollars in donations this holiday season, thanks to the results of Restaurant Week Wailea.
Wailea Community Association’s General Manager, Bud Pikrone, presented checks totaling around $6,600 to Marlene Rice, Development Director for the Maui Food Bank, on behalf of participating Wailea Resort restaurants from their recent “Restaurant Week Wailea” dining experience.
Wailea Resort’s bi-annual, three course, pre-fixe dinner menus showcase the variety of top dining venues, while providing an opportunity to raise funds for the Maui Food Bank. Around 20 restaurants took part in the event this year.
“Each participating restaurant agrees to make a contribution to the Maui Food Bank for every entrée sold during Restaurant Week Wailea. Once again, it was a huge success in bringing awareness of the Maui Food Bank to the local community and visitors through our restaurants,” says Pikrone. “We look forward to continuing this very popular dining experience and have just confirmed our dates for next year, May 22–28 and November 6–12, 2016.”
Wailea Community Association sends out thanks all the visitors and residents, along with the following Wailea Resort restaurants that participated and contributed to the Maui Food Bank: Capische, DUO Steak & Seafood , Fabiani’s Wailea, Gannon’s, Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, Ka’ana Kitchen, Kō, Longhi’s Wailea, Mala Wailea, Manoli’s Pizza Company, Matteo’s Osteria, Migrant Maui, Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman, Morimoto Maui, Mulligan’s on the Blue, Nick’s Fishmarket Maui, Pita Paradise Bistro Wailea, Ruth’s Chris Steak House Wailea, Spago and Tommy Bahama.
